Residents marched in Knightdale's Early Voters March on Saturday, Oct. 24. Councilor Grady Bussey says the town is breaking its early voting turnout records.

Knightdale residents turned out on Saturday, Oct. 24, for the town’s Early Voters March, a walk meant to celebrate civic engagement and encourage people to vote.

Town Councilor Grady Bussey said the march drew “an incredible turnout,” and that the town’s early voting numbers are setting new highs.

“Knightdale continues to make history, breaking previous early voting turnout records!” Bussey wrote to Raleigh News Daily after the march.

“It was wonderful to see our community come together to celebrate civic engagement and encourage voter participation,” Bussey said, calling the day “this historic moment for Knightdale.”

The town shared a photograph from the march. It shows a pom-pom team in black and white tracksuits at the front, followed by a long line of residents walking along a tree-lined street, with a police vehicle behind the group.

The town posts updates on its website, KnightdaleNC.gov, and on Facebook and Instagram.
