13 breakfast spots and coffee shops at 18 locations inside Raleigh city limits, downtown, near NC State, in Five Points and North Hills and up to Creedmoor Road.

Last checked Oct. 12, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Raleigh’s breakfast spots and coffee shops are thickest downtown and just west of it, around Five Points and Glenwood Avenue, and at North Hills. North Raleigh has its own cluster on Creedmoor Road, Strickland Road and Honeycutt Road.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Raleigh’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. We added Benchwarmers Bagels’ Saunders Street and Transfer Co. locations and Jubala Coffee’s other Raleigh cafes from their own sites. Starbucks, Dunkin’, Waffle House, IHOP and Biscuitville have many Raleigh stores and are left out; use their store finders. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry. For weekend brunch menus, see our brunch list.
