Last checked Oct. 12, 2026. Refreshed every three months.
Raleigh’s ice cream and dessert shops cluster on the north side of downtown, around Person Street, Seaboard Station and Raleigh Iron Works, where four of them are close together. The rest are spread through North Raleigh, on Falls of Neuse Road, Strickland Road, Spring Forest Road and Lead Mine Road, plus Lake Boone Trail and Clark Avenue.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Raleigh’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. We added the Goodberry’s and Two Roosters locations listed on their own sites. Cake, cookie and doughnut chains with many stores, and shops whose sites gave no Raleigh address, are left out. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
